Weigel's Stores Inc.

Weigel’s Stores Inc. operates 70 c-stores, a dairy and a bakery. The Powell, Tenn.-based chain celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2021.

The chain has dairy roots, with the Weigel family launching the business in 1931 selling raw milk. Its first brick-and-mortar location--a drive-thru dairy store in East Tennessee--opened in 1958. Its c-stores are called Weigel’s Farm Stores.

New stores feature the Weigel’s Kitchen foodservice concept, which offers pizza, panini sandwiches, Mexican specialties and snacks, as well as specialty coffees. The stores also have food-ordering kiosks. Weigel’s loyalty program offers free milk, special tobacco deals and cents off per gallon on fuel.
