Dairy-free frozen dessert brand Klimon is entering the convenience-store channel via a distribution deal with 7-Eleven.

7-Eleven, Irving, Texas, is introducing Klimon pints and novelties in nearly 400 c-stores in Southern California, with plans for a subsequent nationwide rollout, Klimon said.

Klimon 100% plant-based, dairy-free frozen desserts first appeared in grocery freezer aisles in 2022. The desserts are a creamy alternative to ice cream for the increasing number of consumers seeking plant-based products, the Arcadia, California-based company said. Klimon is “no milk” spelled backward.

“The Klimon motto is ‘No Dairy. No Difference’.” said Klimon founder and CEO Alex Cotraviwat. “We are meeting a need for people who want plant-based options, but our product is so creamy and delicious any ice cream lover on the go will be satisfied with the treats available at 7-Eleven.”

Klimon products available at 7-Eleven include individually wrapped Dairy Free Ultra Creamy Ice Cream Sandwiches in Goldie Luxe (vanilla) and Churro Chata (horchata) flavors.

Also available are dairy free ice cream pints in four flavors:

  • Cherry Bomb: A cherry-flavored frozen dessert features real Bordeaux cherry chunks and a cherry swirl.
  • Choco PB Cup: A peanut butter frozen dessert with mini chocolate chips and a fudge swirl.
  • Banana Ooh Na-Na: Banana frozen dessert with real Bordeaux cherry chunks and a fudge swirl.
  • Ooey Gooey!: Salted chocolate frozen dessert filled with walnuts and marshmallows with a sweet caramel swirl.

Banana Ooh Na-Na and Ooey Gooey! flavors feature Minions branding made possible through Klimon’s licensing agreement with Universal.

7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises or licenses more than 83,000 convenience stores in 19 countries and regions, including more than 13,000 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States.
