Casey’s Buys 4 Oakcrest Market C-Stores in Arkansas

Casey’s General Stores Inc. acquired four Oakcrest Market convenience stores in the Fort Smith, Arkansas, area last week, the retailer has confirmed.

Three of the locations are in Fort Smith, and one is in Van Buren, Arkansas. The deal also included one liquor store in Fort Smith.

Some locations feature Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses and Godfather’s Pizza.

“This purchase reflects our continued store growth plans, and we’re excited to serve guests at these Casey’s locations,” a Casey’s spokesperson told CSP Daily News.

Fort Worth, Texas-based Southwest Petroleum Realty represented the seller in this transaction, Grant McWhirter of told CSP.

In July, Casey’s agreed to acquire Fikes Wholesale Inc., owner of CEFCO Convenience Stores, for $1.145 billion. The deal includes 198 retail stores and a dealer network.

Casey’s General Stores, based in Ankeny, Iowa, operates more than 2,600 convenience stores in the greater Midwest under the Casey’s and GoodStop brands and in Texas under the Lone Star Food Stores brand. The company is the third-largest convenience-store retailer, the fourth-largest holder of liquor licenses and the fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States. CSP has named Casey’s CEO and President Darren Rebelez as its 2024 Retail Leader of the Year.
