Town Pump Convenience Stores opened a new c-store and gas station in Bozeman, Montana, on Sept. 12. At 32,438 square feet, it is the largest Town Pump in the state. The location also features the Magic Diamond Casino, Liquor Store and Sports Bar.

  • Town Pump is No. 64 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

The new building, at 8439 Huffine Lane and Willow Peak Drive, features an earth-tone color scheme with lapboard siding, brick and stone. Copper accents complete the local look of the building. Both building exterior and interior lighting areas use energy efficient LED lighting. An interior skylight will allow for daylight harvesting. This automatic lighting control strategy adjusts artificial light levels based on available daylight.

The store features 24,600 square feet of floor space including an 1,800-square-foot beer cave and a 230-square-foot water cave.

With 59 cooler doors and a half-acre of floor space, the Huffine Town Pump will offer a wide selection of soda, waters, beer and wine. The store will also offer an expanded selection of grocery items including fresh meats, dairy items, produce, canned goods, cereals, frozen foods, and cheeses.

The in-store Stone House Deli and Coffee Co. features an “open-kitchen” concept that will allow customers to view the preparation of salads, sandwiches, wraps and breakfast items from scratch. The deli area will also offer grab-and-go items like assorted fresh-brewed coffee, cappuccino, nachos, popcorn, hot dogs, chicken, sodas and f’real milkshakes. Large cinnamon rolls are baked daily.

Stone House Coffee Shots offers a full selection of espresso drinks including lattes, americanos, breves, frappés and more. It also offers natural plant-based Lotus energy drinks, Red Bull Infusion drinks and caffeine-free options, as well. The Stone House Coffee Shots drink club allows members of the Pump It Up Rewards+ program at Town Pump to get every 10th drink for free. There is seating for 30 in the Stone House Coffee Shots area.

At the forecourt, the site offers 30 fueling locations, featuring Conoco gasoline and diesel fuel. There is one additional fueling station for larger vehicles. The Pump it Up Rewards program can save members 5 cents per gallon every day. Members can also earn and redeem points for on in-store purchases.

The 7,800-square-foot Magic Diamond Casino, Liquor Store and Sports Bar features the newest gaming machine in the state, Lil’s Platinum, which offers exclusive reel, poker and keno games. As a member of the Real Rewards Players Club, players can earn credits that can be redeemed for free machine play.

The Magic Diamond Sports Bar features 15 large screens to show current sporting events. It also features Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) watch parties without a cover charge. Adjacent to the sports bar is a comfortable patio area.

The Magic Diamond Liquor Store has spirits including Made in Montana products.

“We are pleased to provide an enhanced range of products and services at this new, larger store,” said Bill McGladdery, director of corporate communications for Town Pump. “This new store was designed to create a better experience for our customers, while providing the welcoming environment for which Town Pump is known.”

The location creates 90 new positions. Team members have been training at other Bozeman Town Pump stores and casinos, the company said.

Before the end of the year, Town Pump also will open a new, 12,700-square-foot store at 2707 West Main Street, replacing the smaller store at 2607 West Main Street, it said.

Tom and Mary Ann Kenneally founded Town Pump in Butte, Montana, in 1953 with a 500-square-foot gas station. Today, Town Pump operates 107 convenience stores, as well as casinos, car washes and hotels across the state.
