Pilot Promotes Palenkas

Moves up to director of merchandising

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Travel Centers LLC has promoted Laura Palenkas to director of merchandising.

For more than 10 years, Laura has been a major asset to our company's marketing and merchandising, said Ken Parent, senior vice president of operations for Pilot Travel Centers. She greatly deserves this promotion to a director position.

As director of merchandising, Palenkas is responsible for managing all packaged food and beverage items, fountain and grill consumables and tobacco products. She also manages the pricebook.

Prior to her promotion, Palenkas was senior national category manager. She came to Pilot in 1995 from Fraser, Mich., where she owned Image Inc. Promotions from 1988 to 1995.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot operates 267 travel centers across the United States.
