Where Should Convenience Retailers Build Their Next Stores? Here Are the Top 10 Metro Markets to Grow in Now

It’s good to be a c-store stakeholder these days. Motivation to open new stores has a host of incentives—with one seen in the fact that U.S. convenience stores enjoyed record sales in 2023 ($859.8 billion), according to data from the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS).

In addition, the number of stores grew for the second consecutive year, with 152,396 units operating in the United States, a 1.5% increase from last year’s count.
