Stewart’s Shops is doubling its Milk Club rewards now through Sept. 15 to celebrate winning best milk in New York State for the third year in a row.

All Stewart’s customers who buy a half gallon of Stewart’s milk, juice or Refresher will get a double punch on their Stewart’s Milk Club Card through Sunday, the Ballston Spa, New York-based convenience-store chain said.

Customers who purchase a gallon of Stewart’s milk will get four punches on their card.

Stewart’s is offering double Milk Club rewards after taking first place at the New York State Fair in Syracuse for best milk, best chocolate milk and best flavored milk. The fair ran from Aug. 21 to Sept. 2.

“The secrets to our success are our hardworking local dairy farmers who supply Stewart’s with raw milk every day!” the company said. “Stewart’s also has an award-winning team who pasteurize our milk at the plant and deliver fresh chilled milk to our 360 shops within 48 hours after picking up the milk at the farm.”

  • Stewart’s Shops is No. 23 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.

Stewart’s Shops also won first place for best vanilla ice cream for its Philly Vanilla, “a fan favorite that is chock full of tasty Madagascar vanilla beans,” said the company, which just rolled out several fall flavors. In the chocolate ice cream category, Stewart’s Shops took second place.

The New York State 2024 Dairy Products contest is part of a highly competitive program run by Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and the New York State Department of Agriculture, Stewart’s Shops said. This year, there were 176 entries from dairy producers across the state.

The program highlights New York’s dairy industry and ensures the quality of New York dairy products while monitoring milk, cheese and other products for quality and safety, said Stewart’s Shops, adding, “The best milk awards are a testament to the hard work and high standards of the 20 local dairy farms who supply Stewart’s with raw milk every day.”

“This recognition is humbling. It also is an opportunity to recognize the dedication of the farmers who support us and our partners who work so hard to ensure our milk and ice cream are the best they can be,” Chad Kiesow, chief operating officer at Stewart’s Shops, said.
