QuikTrip is coming to Kentucky. The company has broken ground on its first convenience store in the Bluegrass State.

The new convenience store will be at the corner of Lincoln Parkway and U.S. 31 in Elizabethtown, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

QuikTrip officials had no comment on the Kentucky location as of posting time.

  • QuikTrip is No. 9 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

Over the past year, the retailer has expanded its unit growth nationwide, including the Midwest and Texas. The privately held company is also planning new convenience stores in Florida.

“QuikTrip is in the early planning stages of entering Pensacola, Florida,” Aisha Jefferson, the convenience-store chain’s corporate communications manager, recently told CSP. “We are currently in development on Pathstone Boulevard, with hopes of beginning construction in spring of 2026. This will not be the first Florida location,” she said. “QuikTrip has other locations in development that are planned to open prior to the Pensacola location.”

QuikTrip, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has more than 1,000 locations in 17 states.
