Eljaouhari Promoted to Executive Vice President at Delek US Holdings

Company also hires Michael Curley as senior director of operations

Sam Eljaouhari is the new executive vice president at Delek US Holdings, according to a LinkedIn post.

Eljaouhari, who has been at Brentwood, Tennessee-based Delek nearly five years, most recently was senior vice president, chief supply chain officer, capital projects and renewable fuels from September 2022 until this month.

Prior to that, he was senior vice president, chief supply chain officer from December 2019 to September 2022.

In addition, Eljaouhari has been on the board of directors at SimWin Sports, Beverly Hills, California, since December 2020.

Eljaouhari worked at Marathon Petroleum Corp., Findlay, Ohio, for five and a half years starting in June 2014. Roles included senior director, supply chain and category management, and head of procurement and supply chain, refining. In this role, he was accountable for leading procurement and supply chain across Marathon’s refining enterprise, consisting of a 17-plant portfolio and a team of more than 300 supply chain professionals, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to Marathon, Eljaouhari worked for more than 17 years at bp, London. Positions included global materials management and logistic manager, and vice president and chief procurement officer.

Delek has not responded to requests from CSP seeking comment on his new position.

New Hire

In other personnel news at Delek, Michael Curley last week said in a LinkedIn post that he is starting as senior director of operations. For the last four years, he has been self-employed as the president of RSG Midstream, Denver, where he consulted in the natural gas gathering and processing industry.

Prior to that, he worked for 20 years at DCP Midstream, Denver. His last position there was vice president of operations.

Delek US Holdings Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, pipelines, renewable fuels and convenience-store retailing. The convenience-store retail segment operates approximately 250 convenience stores in West Texas and New Mexico under the DK store banner. The retailer entered the Arkansas market in late 2022 with two stores opening in disparate parts of the state.
