Domino’s has long been a tech-focused pizza delivery company. It has tested self-driving vehicles from automaker Ford in multiple markets and even conducted flying drone deliveries, but it is not stopping there.

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based pizza company launched an app during the 2019 Super Bowl that asked users to submit a photo of their Domino’s pizza in exchange for loyalty points. The marketing ploy doubled as an opportunity to train its machine-learning model to recognize and classify images of its pizza. App users also answered a brief survey about their pizza.

Domino’s combined this information to predict when a pizza order will be ready with 95% accuracy. In the future, Domino’s hopes to improve on this technology to implement more complicated real-time predictions.
