Surprisingly, the need for better-for-you foodservice items was the third most important need-state category for c-store foodservice consumers—ahead of comfort and experience. A little more than 15% of c-store foodservice shoppers said the need for either healthy foods or real and wholesome ingredients drove their c-store visit.

With a score of 40.5%, Family Express took the top spot for the healthy need state. Fas Mart also scored well at 38.8%, as well as Ricker’s at 33%.
