CHICAGO —Ferrara Candy Co. has debuted two new SweeTarts varieties, SweeTarts Ropes Bites and SweeTarts Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries, in convenience stores nationwide.

The bite-sized SweeTarts Ropes Bites feature five fruity flavors—Cherry, Strawberry, Green Apple, Orange and Blue Punch, all of which have a tart, fruit-punch center—in 3-ounce value peg bags (SRP $1.49), 3.5-ounce share packs (SRP $1.49), 5.25-ounce peg bags ($1.99) and 8-ounce stand-up bags (SRP $2.99).

SweeTarts Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries feature a variety of berry-flavored flavors, including Raspberry, Blackberry, Blue Berry Punch, Dark Cherry and Mixed Berry, in 3.75-ounce concession bags (SRP $1.49), 4-ounce share packs (SRP $1.49) and 12-ounce stand-up bags (SRP $2.99).

Both products are part of Ferrara’s new marketing campaign, “Be Both,” which aims to introduce SweeTarts to a new generation of candy consumers, specifically Gen Z, the company said.

"After receiving overwhelmingly positive response to our SweeTarts Soft & Chewy Ropes and SweeTarts Mini Chewy lines, we decided to extend these fan favorites with new formats and flavors," said Ashley Incarnato, senior brand manager for Ferrara. "As consumers move to a more on-the-go mentality with candy and snacks, we expect that SweeTarts Ropes Bites and SweeTarts Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries will be a hit in the market as consumers seek new poppable, shareable candy for the spring and summer seasons."

Chicago-based Ferrara Candy manufactures branded and private-label confections. Besides SweeTarts, brands include Black Forest Organic Gummies, Trolli, Red Hots, Lemonheads, Laffy Taffy and Jujyfruits—all of which are available in convenience stores nationwide. The company was founded more than 100 years ago in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood.
