This week, TravelCenters of America announced that it is acquiring the Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant concept out of bankruptcy for $25 million.

These café-style eateries offer a variety of foods from regional favorites to familiar home-cooked staples available for dine-in, carryout or call ahead.

“We know variety is vitally important to our customers and are always looking for ways to offer our guests different types of food options, while keeping the same quality and quick service they have come to expect,” said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters of America. “The unique atmosphere and local favorites from each of these cafes will not only provide this experience, but also allow them to relax, unwind and enjoy a home-cooked meal.”

Petro Café is located at a Petro Stopping facility in Egan, La. It opened officially on Sept. 23, open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week with breakfast hours coming soon.

The Louisiana style dining experience offers authentic Cajun classics like fried chicken, Po Boy sandwiches, Cajun catfish and Boudin link or ball dinners. Customers will also have a chance to try Egan’s Soon To Be Famous Bread Pudding for dessert.

Metro Deli is located at a Petro Stopping facility in Scranton, Pa. The deli opened officially on Oct. 27, open Sunday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Metro Deli is an authentic New York-style deli featuring large sandwiches that are made with fine meats, breads and cheeses. In fact, all of the meats at the Metro Deli are all natural and free from preservatives, binders, fillers or antibiotics.

TA Café Express is located TA facility in Fort Bridger, Wyo. It opened officially on Nov. 18, open from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., seven days a week.

The new cafe expands the dining options in the network at TA Fort Bridger, offering home smoked favorites like smoked brisket and braised wrangler steak. The menu also offers comfort food classics like chicken fried steak, stuffed peppers and fried whitefish, as well as Wyoming Cowboy Cookies for dessert.
