Ronnoco Credits Acquisitions and Leadership for Strong 2019

Company has forecasted a 20% increase in sales by the end of this year

ST. LOUIS — Convenience-store coffee and tea provider Ronnoco Beverage Solutions has forecasted a 20% jump in sales between January 2018 and December 2019 as the result of new senior leadership, an accelerated distributor partnership program and strategic acquisitions during the past year, the company said.

Ronnoco has also added more than 10 U.S. states to its distribution footprint during the past 24 months.

"As we have expanded our distributor network by adding eight new distributors in the past 18 months, our geography has increased from 30 states to more than 40 states served," said Terry McDaniel, CEO of Ronnoco Beverage Solutions. "Our goal is to provide our partners with a one-stop, full-line beverage solution, and to do so with a commitment to quality and service unmatched in our segment. As our business expands, our facilities and employee rosters follow, so this is a tremendous period of success for the entire team."

In March 2019, Ronnoco—known then as Ronnoco Coffee—acquired Beverage Solutions Group, a beverage and equipment supplier for the convenience-store and foodservice industries, and changed its name to Ronnoco Beverage Solutions. This marked Ronnoco’s sixth acquisition in eight years; others included Black Waters Coffee, U.S. Roasterie Inc., International Blends and Henderson Coffee.

The acquisition supported Ronnoco’s vision to become a single-source supplier for the beverage category, the company said at the time of the transaction. It also strengthened Ronnoco's powdered cream and sweetener program and provided a list of new retailers, distributors and geographies to work with, the company said.

Beyond the acquisition, Ronnoco has recently added five packaging lines and doubled the coffee storage area of its facility in St. Louis. The company is also in the process of upgrading its quality control lab, also in St. Louis, and enhancing its facility in Oklahoma.

Ronnoco’s leadership additions during the past 18 months have included Terry McDaniel, CEO; Chuck Sarosi, vice president of foodservice sales and DSD operations; and Russ Law, vice president of sales and specialty channels.

"We've built a seasoned, specialized leadership team that forms our recipe for continued growth and expansion, and we are excited to see where the next few years takes us," McDaniel said.

St. Louis-based Ronnoco Beverage Solutions roasts, blends, grinds, packages and distributes coffee and tea under six primary brands: Ronnoco, Seattle Roast, Coffee House, Wild Horse Creek, Henderson and Camellia. The company also provides a variety of other beverages, such as cappuccinos, hot chocolate and smoothies, as well as coffee-related products and equipment, including cups, flavoring syrups and condiments. The company is jointly owned by Detroit-based Huron Capital Partners and Ronnoco management.
