Rich’s Foodservice Introduces Turnkey Pizza Program

Targets c-stores that are new to the category

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Rich’s Foodservice has launched its new turnkey Corner Market Pizza Program that is designed for convenience stores making an initial entry to the pizza category. The program allows c-stores to roll out their first pizza platform for as little as $1,080, according to the company.

To initiate the program, c-store operators first order Rich’s full-topped Simply Cheese Artisan Crust Pizza from a local distributor, then order Rich’s Corner Market Pizza Package online; the package includes both equipment and merchandising.

The basic package is priced at $1,080; customers can also opt for the $1,440 all-inclusive Corner Market Pizza Package, plus the cost of the pizza. Both kits include a Wisco Oven that accommodates a 16-inch pizza, a pizza display with a built-in warmer and graphic header, pizza pans, a cutting board, pizza cutter, point-of-sale kit, and pricing kit.

C-stores that sign up for the Corner Market Pizza Program can receive a rebate of $5 per case of pizzas purchased through Dec. 31, 2017, the company said.

Rich’s designed the program for first-time retailers who have never been in the pizza business and seek an easy, turnkey solution to get a pizza platform up and running.

“Two out of three Americans eat pizza every week, so it’s an important component to every foodservice program,” said Cheri F. Marchionda, director of sales, convenience, for Rich Products Corp. “Our new Corner Market Pizza Program is a win-win proposition for the consumer as well as the retailer. C-stores will enjoy high profit margins from this easy-to-implement program, while their customers will enjoy fresh-baked, delicious pizza.”

The program is the second turnkey program from Rich’s, joining the Corner Market Bakery that premiered in January. More than 35 c-stores already have registered for the bakery program, which includes gourmet cookies, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts and croissants. Operators can order components for the bakery program at Rich’s Corner Market website.
