Rich Products’ new Gluten Free Parbaked Detroit Style Pizza Crust is a 9-inch by 7-inch personal-sized crust that “satisfies the growing consumer demands for gluten-free and Detroit-style pizzas,” the company said.

Like other parbaked pizza crusts from Rich’s, this product gives retailers the flexibility of a freezer-to-oven format that bakes up consistently with minimal skill required, the Buffalo, New York-based company said. Retailers can remove the product from the freezer, top, bake and serve.

Detroit-style pizza ranked the fourth most popular menu item on Grubhub’s 2021 dining trends list. The thick crust is loaded with toppings, then a layer of cheese, then the sauce, Rich Products said.

“Parbaked and ready to top, Rich’s Gluten Free Detroit Style Pizza Crust satisfies customers looking for a gluten-free, flavorful option with a crisp outside bite and airy center,” the company said.

Alyssa Barrett, customer marketing manager for convenience, Rich Products, said the new offering is “a delicious crust that’s not only labor-friendly but also uniquely meets the exploding demand for this regional pizza style and the growing requests for gluten-free alternatives.”

The new crust is rated “Superior Clean Label,” with no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, no high-fructose corn syrup and no hydrogenated oils. It omits more than 70 sensitive ingredients such as bleached flour, MSG and added sulfites. The crusts are each 9 ounces and come 20 per case, with a shelf life of 240 days frozen or seven days refrigerated.

Based in Buffalo, N.Y., Rich Products manufactures a variety of foodservice products ranging from pizza, seafood and salads to cakes, cookies and icings. The family-owned company operates in more than 100 countries and has annual sales exceeding $4 billion.
