Team partners with retailer to offer top-selling stadium fare in L.A. c-stores

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team has announced that longtime partner ampm will now add the Farmer John Dodger Dogs to its offerings at participating Los Angeles-area ampm convenience stores.

More than 500 Los Angeles-area ampm stores started offering Dodger Dogs on April 5.

The 10-inch hot dogs will initially be offered to consumers at the price of two for $3.

"We are genuinely looking forward to offering our fans an authentic Dodger Experience outside of Dodger Stadium," said Dodger senior vice president and corporate partnerships Michael Young. "ampm will be the only place outside of Dodger Stadium that someone can purchase a freshly cooked Dodger Dog prepared just as they would at one of our games. Bringing together two significant Dodger partners in Farmer John and ampm is something we are proud to showcase throughout Southern California."

"We are so proud of the relationship we've built with Dodger fans over the years," said Donna Sanker, vice president of marketing for BP Fuels North America. "Offering the world-famous Dodger Dog gives the team's fans and our customers one more reason to stop by ampm for that quick bite to eat."

This marks the second year that ampm and the Dodgers have been official partners. In addition to offering Dodger Dogs, ampm also partnered with the Dodgers in 2015 to open the first-ever ampm-branded convenience store at Dodger Stadium that offers fans a destination with beer, soft drinks, sweet and salty snacks as well as ampm's coffee.

The Dodger Dog was created in 1962 and is the No.1-selling food item at Dodger Stadium. More than 1.5 million Dodger Dogs are sold per season.

C-store chain ampm serves customers through a network of more than 970 locations across Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
