Flash Market Opens Two More Pizza Inns

Marion, Ark., sites part of larger rollout
MARION, Ark. -- Pizza Inn Inc., an international pizza chain, is now available at two locations in Marion, Ark., as part of a multi-unit franchise agreement with West Memphis, Ark.-based Flash Market convenience stores.

A new Pizza Inn Express opened at one site on September 22, and a new Pizza Inn delivery/carryout location opened at another location on September 26. The two additions make a total of three Pizza Inn introductions at Flash Market stores in less than two weeks and emphasize a program to bring more fresh products to their customers across their stores in Arkansas [image-nocss] and Tennessee.

The first location opened in Lebanon, Tenn., last week.

Flash Market stores are owned by the Patterson family, who also feature Subway, Quiznos, Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen franchises in their convenience stores and travel plazas.

"We wanted to upgrade our existing pizza programs to include a quality brand name with a menu that offers a fresh made dough product," said Shane Patterson.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to introduce Pizza Inn to new customers and provide our pizzas to those familiar with our brand in this market," said Charlie Morrison, CEO of Pizza Inn. "The Patterson Family has a long history of success with high-profile franchise brands, and we are excited that Pizza Inn will now be able to play a part in the success."

Patterson said the company plans to open up additional Pizza Inn locations in coming months.

"Flash Market has done an incredible job introducing Pizza Inn to stores in record time," said Dino Chavez, director of franchise development for Pizza Inn. "They are a leading example of the growing demand for Pizza Inn products at convenience stores as consumers look for more fresh products with great taste."

Headquartered in the Dallas suburb of The Colony, Texas, Pizza Inn is an international pizza chain featuring traditional and specialty pizzas, as well as freshly made pastas, sandwiches and desserts. Founded in 1958, publicly traded Pizza Inn franchises approximately 315 restaurants and directly owns and operates four restaurants.

Flash Market and affiliated petroleum company Flash Oil Co. of Arkansas Inc. own, operate or supply fuel to more than 150 retail locations in the states of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri. Of these locations, approximately 70 are company-owned and operated under the Flash Market banner, and it markets and distributes fuel under the CITGO, Shell, Phillips and Conoco brands.
