Limited-time release is fifth variety in flavored energy-drink lineup

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Red Bull North America launched its annual summer edition this week, introducing limited-edition Red Bull Kiwi Twist, now available nationwide.

Red Bull Summer Edition Kiwi Twist

The Summer Edition debuted in 2014 with a tropical-flavored Red Bull that eventually became the permanent Yellow Edition.

This second Summer Edition, Kiwi Twist, will be available through Labor Day.

The Red Bull Editions line now includes Red (cranberry), Blue (blueberry), Yellow (tropical fruits) and Orange (tangerine). They are sold in single-serve 12-ounce cans, line priced with Red Bull Energy Drink, Red Bull Sugarfree and Red Bull Total Zero. All Editions products rank within the top 20 energy-drink SKUs, according to the Santa Monica, Calif.-based company. Additionally, four-packs of 8.4-ounce cans of Red Bull Red, Blue and Yellow are available in stores nationally.

The caffeine concentration is consistent across the entire portfolio of Red Bull Energy Drink products: 80 milligrams of caffeine in an 8.4-ounce can and 114 milligrams in a 12-ounce can.
