ST. LOUIS — Neon Burst is a new sparkling hard beverage with a blend of fruit flavors designed specifically to catch the eye on convenience-store shelves with vibrant packaging and wild tastes.
The Anheuser-Busch beverage, with 8% alcohol, comes in 25-ounce and 16-ounce single cans in two varieties:
- Neon Burst Punch Blast: A blend of tropical fruit flavors including pineapple, passionfruit, orange, raspberry, cherry and apple.
- Neon Burst Grape Blowout: An explosion of grape flavor and citrus tartness.
“When you evaluate what’s happening at c-stores, you’re seeing a highly engaged customer help grow full-flavored, 6%-8% alcohol-by-volume beverages to a $1 billion category,” said Joanie Kwok, senior brand director of the flavored malt beverage portfolio for Anheuser-Busch. “We saw an opportunity to shake things up with this new product that’s exactly what this evolving consumer is currently looking for.”
Both flavors deliver an explosion of fruit flavor with less than 5 grams of sugar and only 170 calories per 12-ounce serving, the St. Louis-based company said.
Neon Burst joins Anheuser-Busch’s Beyond Beer portfolio of brands, which also includes Cutwater Spirits, Babe Wine, Nutrl Vodka Seltzer and Margaritaville Tropical Punch.
Neon Burst is currently available in two single-serve can sizes nationally in the following states: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
