It’s been more than a decade since Sheetz first invested in EV chargers. Its first unit was installed in 2012. The retailer has since celebrated more that 2 million charging sessions at its stores, where it operates 650 EV chargers at 95 store locations.

And there are more to come. In October, Sheetz received National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) grants to bring EV chargers to additional stores in four Pennsylvania counties.

“Our goal at Sheetz has always been to be the ultimate one-stop shop, to help customers to refuel or recharge your car and refresh your body,” said Trevor Walter, vice president of petroleum supply management. “With the market for electric vehicles gaining popularity, Sheetz is committed to building a network now for the future needs of our customers.”
