GLENVIEW, Ill. -- D.R.L. Enterprises Inc., Glenview, Ill., which provides management services for TOP Tobacco LP and Republic Tobacco LP, said that it has hired Carl Ioos, 41, to serve as senior vice president, with involvement in acquisition strategies.
Ioos was previously president of Republic Tobacco, a major U.S. distributor of roll-your-own products. TOP Tobacco is a major U.S. manufacturer of roll-your-own tobacco.
Prior to serving Republic Tobacco, Ioos was president and CEO of Utrecht Art Supplies, where he spearheaded [image-nocss] a restructuring. As president and CEO of Robert Burton Associates Ltd., Ioos was retained during three ownership transitions from Rizla to venture capitalists to the Imperial Tobacco Group. His accomplishments included a major increase in sales and operating profits, supported by an overhaul of the sales force and marketing programs, as well as several new product introductions.
