ROCKVILLE, Md. -- The FDA Center for Tobacco Products has updated its Web site to help educate retailers about relevant tobacco regulations and increase voluntary compliance with FDA regulations.
According to Kara Henschel, a spokesperson for the FDA, the changes to the retailer section of the site include:
The Break the Chain of Tobacco Addiction Web page now contains more user-friendly content. The newly improved page includes free retailer education materials [image-nocss] about tobacco product regulations.
ATobacco Retailer Quiz is now available for retailers to test their knowledge.
Free Break the Chain of Tobacco Addiction campaign materials are now available in Spanish.
English and Spanish versions of a Retailer Quiz Widget and a News You Can Use widget were added to the Stay Connected with Center for Tobacco Products Widgets Web page.
"We've added these new retailer resources and are continuously streamlining the look and user experience," Henschel told Tobacco E-News. She added that the FDA hopes to include retailers in that process, partially through its Improving FDA Tobacco Retailer Communication Tools Forum. "Our main goal is to hear from retailers and retailer associations about the resources and tools they'd like to see, " she said. "Retailers know best what tools are most helpful and informative as they comply with the FDA regulations."
