MELBOURNE, Fla. —Kaival Brands, the global distributor of Bidi Vapor’s Bidi Stick disposable electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS), has partnered with Koupon to create an electronic engagement program.

The partnership will offer customers digital opportunities based on their purchases.

“Working with Koupon will facilitate a greater communication with adult users of our products,” said Niraj Patel, president and CEO of Kaival Brands, Melbourne, Fla. “We hope to better understand their needs and facilitate the purchase of our premium product.”

Koupon, which was recently acquired by Alpharetta, Ga.-based Professional Datasolutions Inc. (PDI), specializes in providing convenience-store retailers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands with ways to engage with their shoppers to grow sales and obtain insights on buyer behavior.

The goal of Koupon and Kaival Brands’ program is to better serve its adult customer base, involving assessment of consumer insights and digital offers to users of Bidi Vapor products, the company said. Age-verified adult consumers can access digital promotions powered by Koupon’s technology and redeem them at retail outlets, such as c-stores, within Bidi Vapor’s distribution network. The benefits to consumers grow over time.

“This partnership is a significant milestone for the convenience store industry,” said Brad Van Otterloo, CEO of Koupon. “Partnering with a growing e-cigarette company like Bidi Vapor will benefit the industry as a whole.”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a marketing denial order (MDO) to Bidi Vapor for its flavored Bidi Sticks, but that order was later stayed, allowing the products to remain on the market for the time being.
