The donation includes funds raised for the foundation during Turkey Hill’s 2014 Charity Golf Outing, which took place on Sept. 19 at Meadia Heights and Tanglewood Manor Golf Courses in Lancaster County.

“Making a positive impact on the communities we serve is one of our company’s core values,” said Darel Pfeiff, president, Turkey Hill Minit Markets. “Pennsylvania is home to nearly 900,000 men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. The Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation plays a vital role in assisting veterans and their families in times of need and supporting organizations that enhance their lives in a variety of ways. It’s an honor to support their efforts with this donation, and we’re thankful to everyone who helped us raise these funds through our annual Charity Golf Outing.”

“If it had not been for Turkey Hill Minit Markets sponsoring us over the past two years, we may not even be in existence,” said Mike Gould, chairman, Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation. “And now this incredible effort by their team during their golf fundraiser—we are astonished. And this couldn't have happened at a better time of year. So many of our veteran families struggle to survive during the holiday season. Turkey Hill has been a vital part of saving lives and granting hope for countless numbers of veterans in Pennsylvania. We are honored to be the recipient of this amazing gift for our Veterans and their families.”

With corporate offices in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Turkey Hill has stores across the Keystone State, as well as an expanding presence in Ohio and Indiana.
