ROCKLAND, Mass. In September, Tedeschi Food Shops made a pledge to the Toys For Tots Foundation, setting a goal to raise $20,000. Last week, with the presentation of the check by Executive Vice President Robert Tedeschi to Major William Grein USMC (retired), that pledge was fulfilled.
The TD's Select 2-Liter Soda, Toys For Tots campaign began on November 14 with the commitment that 20 cents from every TD's Select 2-Liter Soda sold this holiday season, would go to the Toys For Tots Foundation. All 200 Tedeschi Food Shops, Li'l Peach and Store 24 corporate [image-nocss] and franchise locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire embraced this worthwhile cause. Their outstanding efforts over the past two months allowed Tedeschi's to meet their goal of the $20,000 donation.
The campaign ends December 31. TD is the Rockland, Mass.-based company's private-label soda.
The Toys For Tots Foundation, headquartered in Quantico, Va., is one of the most visible charities during the holiday season.
