RICHMOND, Va. -- Structured Management Systems Inc. (SMS), a custom software application provider offering petroleum and convenience store vertical software solutions, has entered into a partnership with Allegro Consultants Ltd., a software support company.
"This partnership will help SMS provide greater resources for their customers, allowing them to keep servers running smoothly, and helping them move to new software versions and servers when those opportunities arise," said Doug Lucy, president of Glen Allen, Va.-based Allegro.
Allegro is a software developer and technical assistance provider for specialized industry software companies across multiple vertical markets. Its partnership program is based on helping partners improve business development opportunities.
Everett Anthony, president and CEO of SMS, said, "Adding Allegro'sProgress support to our business model takes a lot of work off of our team's shoulders, while better serving our customers needs, not just in terms of our vertical application, but also in all the hardware, database and operating components that deliver our application."
SMS said that it entered the agreement to increase the completeness and depth of IT support for its customers.
Anthony added, "Now that we have Allegro's 40-person team of Progress experts to perform the critical backup verifications and defragmentations, our programming staff can get back to enhancing the next version of the SMS application. With the Allegro partnership, we now have the resources to provide our customers with the level of support that they need."
