Shepard Joins Royal Buying Group

Will represent Shell's STARZ

LISLE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) has announced the addition of Katharine Shepard to the RBG team.She has taken the position of advertising sales representative. Her primary responsibilities will be to represent Shell Oil Co. in advertising sales for STARZ, which is the Shell Trading & Retail Zone.

STARZ is used as a resource by all Shell-branded retail and wholesale marketers to help support programs and products purchased and used by consumers at Shell locations. Royal Buying Group is the exclusive provider of convenience retailing services for Shell, [image-nocss] and it recently executed a contract to support advertising sales for STARZ.

Shepard (pictured) has extensive experience in B2B marketing, publications and inside sales. Her expertise in establishing successful vendor relationships, as well as interfacing with marketing teams, will be a great asset to Royal Buying Group, the company said.

Shepard will also support and create synergistic advertising and promotional opportunities for suppliers and vendors that are currently, or have a need to connect with the independent convenience store operator through Royal Buying Group, the Shell Buying Club and other RBG strategic alliances.

Royal Buying Group, headquartered in Lisle, Ill., is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of convenience stores, petroleum locations, college book stores, truckstops/travel plaza centers, auto repair facilities, drug stores, tobacco outlets and liquor stores. It now represents almost 6,000 locations nationwide, it said. Core service capabilities include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for impactful and competitive sales and marketing programs and providing category management expertise, marketing support and customer service support for its membership.
