Shell Expands WINsday Promotion for 2013 Race Season

Will provide additional savings to FRN cardholders when new driver Joey Logano wins

HOUSTON -- Shell is bringing back its WINsday promotion for the third consecutive year. Every time 22-year-old Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion, wins a points race during the 2013 season, current Shell Saver Cardholders can receive a savings of 22 cents per gallon when they purchase Shell gasolines or diesel on the Wednesday ("WINsday") following the win using their Shell Saver Card.

The season kicked off Feb. 24 in Daytona and races run through Nov. 17, so Shell Saver Cardholders will have 36 opportunities to save more than usual on their fuel purchases at Shell.

"At Shell, we're committed to offering programs like WINsday to help our customers save without having to sacrifice the quality of their fuel," said Susan Day, US payment implementer coordinator for Shell Oil Products U.S. "We're thrilled to welcome Joey to the team and look forward to cheering him on this season, especially knowing our customers can save every time he wins."

The WINsday promotion has also expanded this year to provide additional savings to Shell Saver Cardholders who are also registered Members of the Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) program. Shell Saver Cardholders who use their Shell Saver Card on WINsday will receive an email with a FRN Rewards Code and activation instructions. Once their FRN Rewards Code has been activated, the additional cents per gallon savings will be added to their FRN Account and can be redeemed on a future purchase of high quality fuels at a participating Shell branded station..

The Shell Saver Card is a non-credit payment product exclusive to Shell that links directly to cardholders' checking accounts and offering savings at the pump. While Shell Saver Card earnings apply only to gasoline and diesel purchases, the card can be used for any purchases at Shell-branded stations except lottery tickets, and also includes an everyday discount of two cents per gallon off all fuel purchases when used. Through Telecheck and the use of personal PIN numbers, the Shell Saver Card offers safety mechanisms that enhance consumer security. Since the Shell Saver Card directly links to a checking account, applying for the card does not affect consumer credit scores, nor are there any application or annual fees.

By shopping with participating Shell stations, grocery stores, retailers, restaurants, online merchants and more, FRN members have the opportunity to earn Fuel Rewards savings on almost everything they buy through the FRN program, owned and operated by Excentus Corp., Dallas.
