Sam's Club Selects KSS for Retail Fuel Pricing Solution

PriceNet to provide automation at more than 400 fuel centers

BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- Sam's Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., has selected KSS PriceNet to automate and streamline processes for daily pricing at its retail fuel centers.

KSS PriceNet is a centrally managed retail fuel pricing system that will allow Sam's Club to efficiently manage the volatility of fuel pricing to ensure it is delivering consistent customer value.

Sam's Club operates 433 fuel centers across North America and Canada.

Bob Stein, CEO of the KSS fuel group, said, "PriceNet will provide [image-nocss] Sam's Club automation, structure and compliance around a very volatile process."

KSS provides intelligent pricing solutions for both fuel center pricing and in-store price modeling and optimization. Its solutions are currently optimizing prices for more than 25,000 retail sites, the Florham Park, N.J.-based firm said.

Sam's Club is a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bentonville, Ark.; it ranks as one of the nation's largest warehouse clubs with 47 million U.S. members.

KSS is a supplier of comprehensive pricing intelligence, optimization and execution solutions to the convenience retail, grocery, chain drug and petroleum industries. Retailers use KSS software to automate and optimize the pricing process for fuel pricing, as well as in-store pricing for regular and promotional pricing. PriceNet and other KSS software are available as an onsite, fully integrated system.
