Rutter's Introduces Spin & Win Game for iPhone App

Blackberry, Android versions coming soon

YORK, Pa. -- A new virtual game, Spin & Win, gives iPhone users another reason to download and use Rutter's Farm Stores' mobile app, the retailer said. Spin & Win is the newest piece of the mobile app and gives its users 20 free spins each day. Each spin gives the player a chance to win free or discounted products, or win even more spins and chances to win.

"Rutter's was the first convenience store in the United States to introduce coupons to smart phones," according to Scott Hartman, president and CEO of Rutter's Farm Stores. "As the first game within a c-store [image-nocss] app, Spin & Win continues our efforts to engage customers on their terms--in a fun way."

In addition to the game, the app allows its users to find directions to the nearest Rutter's store, receive digital coupons and view all of Rutter's gasoline prices. It also enables users to register their Rutter's Rewards card and to keep a card image on the phone to eliminate the need to carry as plastic card.

Since debuting 18 months ago, the Rutter's Rewards program has helped its registered members save more than $1 million on gasoline purchases, the company said.

Rutter's mobile app is available to all smart phone users. Currently, only iPhone users are able to participate in Spin & Win; however, Rutter's said that it plans to roll out the Spin & Win portion of the app to Blackberry and Android users in the coming months.

York, Pa.-based Rutter's Farm Stores is a family-owned and -managed enterprise that operates 55 convenience stores throughout south central Pennsylvania.
