Couples celebrate anniversaries at POPS 66

ARCADIA, Okla. -- This Valentine's Day, POPS 66, the Arcadia, Okla., gas station and "soda ranch" along Route 66 will host two couples celebrating their love. Jim and Patsy Richardson and Beth and Paul Hayes, both couples from Oklahoma City, will celebrate their anniversaries at POPS 66 with complimentary lunches and Valentine's Day t-shirts.

Beth Hayes heard about this special offer through her church. "My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary this February 14," she said. "My husband was in the military for the first 7 years of our marriage, and we spent our first [image-nocss] anniversary apart while he was serving in the Gulf War. So we never take this precious time we have together for granted."

In January, Pops 66 also invited customers to propose marriage at the specialty convenience store—to "POP the question at POPS."For being the first to propose on February 14 at POPS 66, the retailer is offering a complimentary dinner or lunch and two free Valentine's Day t-shirts. The deadline to sign up is February 8, said marketing manager Jessica Ockershauser.

The staff at POPS 66 is gearing up for Cupid's day with great food, shake specials, and Valentine's holiday merchandise. POPS 66 general manager, Marty Doepke, said, "POPS has quickly become known for our incredible soda selection, but we do not want our guests to forget that POPS is a destination and a unique place to celebrate with family and friends."

The POPS 66 restaurant will feature Valentine's Day dinner specials, including heart-shaped one-pound burgers made for two.
