Buying group forges deal with college book store services company

HINSDALE, Ill. -- Connect2One, a division of the Nebraska Book Co., and Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) have entered into an exclusive partnership to offer savings, discounts and consistent convenience store promotional programs to Connect2One's more than 700 institutional and private independent college book stores in the United States.

RBG is a merchandising and marketing association that negotiates pricing and promotions for convenience retailing locations and that provides merchandising support and services to more than 5,000 RBG members.

Through this exclusive partnership with Royal Buying Group, only Connect2One member college bookstores will be able to harness the negotiating power of this marketing association, said Connect2One Associate Executive Director Paula Haerr. By joining Royal Buying Group, Connect2One members will be able to access convenience store programs unavailable to them in the past, and save thousands of dollars each year.

Hinsdale, Ill.-based RBG is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of c-stores, petroleum locations, college bookstores, truckstops and travel plaza centers. The core service capabilities include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for sales and marketing programs, providing category management expertise, marketing support, customer service support as well as a variety of additional services.
