ATLANTA -- RaceTrac Petroleum has named Cardtronics as its exclusive ATM service provider for 121 convenience stores in the Dallas and Fort Worth area.

The stores have also been integrated into the Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network, which includes 55,000 ATMs worldwide, and now display the Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) brand, which will make the ATMs fee-free for the credit union’s members. This brings the total number of CUTX-branded ATMs in the Dallas and Fort Worth area to 215.

“Convenient ATM cash access is an essential service in RaceTrac stores,” said Karla Ahlert, RaceTrac's vice president and treasurer. “By aligning with Cardtronics in Texas, RaceTrac stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area will soon become a surcharge-free ATM destination for thousands of guests locally, and we look forward to serving them in our stores.”

“Cardtronics welcomes the opportunity to be the exclusive ATM services provider for RaceTrac in the Dallas-Fort Worth market,” said Brian Bailey, Cardtronics' managing director for North America. “With respected retail brand partners like RaceTrac, Cardtronics is well-positioned to provide our bank and credit union partners with the right physical presence, in exactly the right places, to meet their cardholders’ demands for convenient, surcharge-free access to cash.”

For almost 90 years, Dallas-based CUTX has provided financial services to members in north Texas. CUTX now has more than 142,000 members through its 12 store locations.

Houston-based Cardtronics provides services to more than 230,000 ATMs in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Cardtronics’ surcharge-free Allpoint Network includes more than 55,000 locations.

Family-owned RaceTrac Petroleum, based in Atlanta, has been serving customers since 1934 and now operates nearly 500 locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. It ranked No. 17 in CSP’s 2018 Top 202 list of U.S. c-store chains ranked by number of company-owned retail outlets.
