PumpMedia Offers Content Solution

Teams with Real Digital Media, Avocent on digital signage for gas retailers

TORRANCE, Calif. -- PumpMedia, an outdoor media company, has announced the availability of a fully integrated digital signage solution for gas station environments. In partnership with Real Digital Media, a provider of digital signage products for establishing point-of-purchase marketing, promotions and corporate communication networks, and Avocent Corp., a provider of IT infrastructure management solutions, the new offering enables digital signage networks to be seamlessly integrated at the fuel pump dispenser, it said.

PumpMedia, an outdoor media company, [image-nocss] has created an advertising program located at fuel stations. The concept uses specifically designed media equipment installed at fuel dispensers to display multimedia. The program delivers content to motorists while they refuel.

The PumpMedia solution allows companies to reach motorists at the pump, drive them into the convenience store and reach them again at the point-of-purchase with a single integrated, turnkey solution, said the company. It delivers a marketing tool for fuel retailers, while offering a new advertising medium for the automotive industry.

This solution combines Real Digital Media's NEOCAST digital signage platform and Avocent's Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extender solution with PumpMedia's pump-top video enclosure, enabling fuel retailers to implement digital signage at the pump through an established, pragmatic architecture capable of delivering video and audio content to refueling motorists.

Real Digital Media's NEOCAST digital signage platform and Avocent's Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extender solution are fully interoperable as an integrated joint solution, the company said. Through PumpMedia, the joint solution has already been selected by an unnamed Global 50 petroleum company.

These products allow industry professionals to deliver connectivity and control solutions to a range of markets including retail, medical, digital signage, hospitality A/V and broadcasting.
