PaySpot Adds Azteca Mobile to Wireless Offering

Minutes, handsets available through PaySpot retailers

LEAWOOD, Kansas -- U.S. prepaid provider and processor PaySpot Inc. and Hispanic-focused Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Azteca Mobile have announced the availability of Azteca wireless minutes and handsets through retailers that use PaySpot for their prepaid services. Wireless minutes for Azteca are available at PaySpot-serviced retailers nationwide, and handsets are currently available through select PaySpot serviced retail locations.

Azteca Mobile offers products tailored toward Hispanics of Mexican origin. Azteca is the only MVNO with prepaid [image-nocss] roaming into Mexico and Push to Talk (PTT) functionality between the United States and Mexico. The service also features a plan that includes international long distance to Mexico as well as a single rate plan, Plan Sin Fronteras, for those customers living in the border region.

PaySpot provides recharge or top-up pins for more than 40 wireless providers and offers these minutes through a variety of point-of-sale (POS) terminals, integrated cash register systems and online interfaces. Additional prepaid products and services, such as long-distance calling cards, debit cards, gift cards and bill payment, are also available through the PaySpot prepaid suite.

PaySpot is a subsidiary of Leawood, Kansas-based Euronet Worldwide Inc. Launched in 2002, PaySpot offers a variety of prepaid products, including prepaid wireless, prepaid long distance, prepaid gift cards, prepaid debit cards, bill payment, money transfer, check guarantee, merchant processing, age verification and prepaid handsets. The PaySpot system supports online electronic top-up at retail locations via a range of POS terminals or through integrated electronic cash registers for retailers with multiple locations and multiple checkout points.

Azteca Mobile is a prepaid cellular phone service that uses customized applications to provide Hispanic communities with voice and data services, including Azteca Mobile's two-way radio service, across the United States and Mexico. Azteca Mobile is a unit of Grupo Salinas Co., Mexico City.
