NOCO Express Launches EZ Pay Pump Program

All 31 retail locations offering POSA Tech loyalty system
TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- All 31 NOCO Energy Corp.'s NOCO Express convenience stores locations have launched point-of-sale (POS) technology and transaction processing provider POSA Tech Inc.'s EZ Pay Pump loyalty and pump start program.

With the EZ Pay Pump card, customer fills out an ID application or can swipe their driver's license using the EZ Pay Pump online registration terminal located in the store. Once the application has been submitted to the EZ Pay Pump database center, the customer is given a magnetic swipe card or they can use their driver's license ongoing as an ID [image-nocss] card when paying at the pump. The customer inserts their ID card or driver's license into the pump card reader, the reader will direct the information to the database server, check the card to see if a registered customer and then send the approval back to the pump to be turned on.

The same card is used as a loyalty card and each visit is awarded points that can be turned in for merchandise or discounts for purchases. Each retail customer can customize his or her loyalty program, send email coupons and offer online access to view account activity. And the same card can be upgraded to a debit card that charges the retailer a low flat transaction fee, allowing instant cash back savings that can be passed along to customers for each gallon purchased.

"The ability to offer a turnkey loyalty program for inside and outside sales, along with allowing cash paying customers the ability of not having to prepay gives our customers a great service," said Henry Bays of NOCO Energy. "When the customer upgrades their card to be used as debit card, they save money on each gallon purchased and we save over 45% in transaction fees."

He added, "The staff at POSA Tech has provided us a service that is going to increase our revenues and customer retention, while also decreasing our processing fees."

Doug Pfeiffer, CEO of POSA Tech, said, "POSA Tech's new EZ Pay Pump program has been in development for the last two years, and we are glad to say that we have just been certified on the Gilbarco Passport POS 6.01 system, along with a successful launch in all of the NOCO Express stores"

He added, "We can offer our retail chain accounts a custom loyalty/gift card program, along with a pump start service for cash paying customers. Additionally, the customer can upgrade their enrollment to be used as a debit card and receive discounts for each gallon purchased. The enrollment for each customer is as easy as swiping their drivers license through a terminal placed inside each store, capturing the customer's name, address, date of birth and drivers license number. The customer can choose to use the retailer's loyalty card or can use their driver's license ongoing."

POSA Tech has begun marketing the new EZ Pay Pump program to gasoline retail chains with 10 or more locations using the Gilbarco Passport POS system.
