Little Duke's Revs Up With Revionics

Helps grocery/c-store operator fight competition with price optimization

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Coborn's Inc. has chosen the Revionics Inc. price optimization software service for 33 stores in two states, including multiple retail formats including full-service grocery stores (Coborn's), convenience locations (Little Duke's) and cash-and-carry locations (Cash Wise Foods).

The retailer will begin implementing the new system over the next 30 days, and will focus on improving margins in the face of new competition.

Revionics optimization automates pricing with advanced, adaptable and affordable Software-as-a-Service ([image-nocss] SaaS) price optimization and reporting solutions via a weekly subscription model over the Internet.

Revionics provided an answer to a very difficult question: How do you increase margins in the face of competitive challengers? Revionics will help us to be agile in the face of competition without giving away unnecessary margin. We see Revionics as an important tool for our future, said Andy Knoblauch, vice president of sales, marketing and merchandising for the St. Cloud, Minn., retailer.

Sacramento, Calif.-based Revionics provides price optimization systems to independent retailers, and its Retail Advanced Pricing System (RAPS) generates increased sales and profits through price-optimization technology as subscription-based, Software as a Service (SaaS). Using RAPS, retailers can manage information from multiple distributors, manage multiple stores' prices from one screen and manage temporary price reductions from several manufacturers.
