The commission is hosting three tournament games taking place at the Hal Brady Alachua Recreation Complex in Alachua, Fla.: X16 Xtreme National Championship on July 25 to 31, 12U Babe Ruth Softball World Series on Aug. 1 to 7 and the X14 Xtreme National Championship on Aug. 8 to 14.

Kangaroo Express is inviting softball fans in celebrating the kickoff of the 12U Babe Ruth Softball World Series on Aug. 1 with fun family games and chances to win prizes, including Kangaroo Express gift certificates and Atlanta Braves baseball tickets.

"Kangaroo Express will be at the tournaments, joining the local community and fans in cheering on the teams, and we know how those summer temperatures can soar," said Kris Fisher, regional sales director for Kangaroo Express. "We invite all fans to join us at the kick-off celebrations and then cool down with refreshing, ice-cold RooCup refills at any local Kangaroo Express."

Kangaroo Express will also give coaches and players a great option for staying cool and refreshed with a free special loyalty card that unlocks 50-cent frozen and fountain refills from July 24 to Aug. 28 in their Babe Ruth Commission tournament refillable cup at any participating Kangaroo Express store in the Alachua County area.

The games are the final tournaments for the Babe Ruth Softball Commission, a premier softball program designed for girls four to 18 throughout the United States and Canada. The Babe Ruth Softball World Series is the final tournament for the under-12 age group. The Xtreme National Championships are the final games for the under-16 and under-14 age groups of Xtreme Fastpitch, a new, high performance softball division.

This is the fourth time Alachua will be hosting Babe Ruth Softball Commission tournament games.
