Honoring the Fallen

USO sets up webpage to honor Matt West
ODESSA, Texas -- The USO has created a donation webpage specifically for those wishing to make a donation in honor of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Matt West, who was killed in Afghanistan this past week.

West is the 36-year-old son of John West, the director of sales and marketing for Southwest Convenience Stores/Alon Brands in Odessa, Texas, and his wife Marcy.

Matt West, a six-year U.S. Army veteran, was one of seven U.S. soldiers who died Aug. 30 in two separate roadside bomb attacks in Afghanistan. The husband and father of three is expected to be buried in Arlington [image-nocss] National Cemetery in Washington.
