Go-Marts Goes for Acumera's Trusted Connection Services

Completes network upgrade at more than 100 c-store locations

GASSAWAY, W.Va. -- Go-Mart Inc., which operates more than 100 convenience stores in West Virginia and surrounding states, has signed a deal with Acumera, a leader in trusted connection services for retail organizations, for the tech firm to provide network security, connectivity and visibility for the chain.

In addition to significantly reducing the costs associated with managing and maintaining Go-Mart's network, Acumera's C-Store Connections package will deliver enhanced security and visibility for the company's day-to-day operations. According to Go-Mart general manager Paul Gaughan, Acumera is also providing support for Go-Mart's ongoing Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliance policies and programs.

"One of the factors that attracted us to Acumera is the breadth and depth of the team's PCI knowledge, and their willingness to guide us through the complex process of building and maintaining a PCI-compliant network," said Gaughan. "By specializing in network security for the convenience store space, Acumera has been able to jump right in, understand our network design, and address security requirements throughout all of our stores quickly, efficiently and cost effectively."

As a part of the C-Store Connections package, Acumera will also provide Go-Mart with broadband carrier management services, managed VPNs, network operations center support and remote system visibility through the AcuVigil dashboard.

"Like many of our customers in the industry, Go-Mart is facing increasing pressure to improve network security and design, streamline operations, enhance visibility into store systems and reduce downtime, all while managing limited IT resources," said Acumera CEO Dirk Heinen. "Our trusted connections services, such as managed VPNs and the web-based AcuVigil dashboard, are key tools to help reduce Go-Mart's operating expenses and improve uptime. We are excited to support Go-Mart stores and their team with our services."

Founded in 2002, Austin, Texas-based Acumera provides its services to multi-site merchants, specializing in the reduction of problems caused by network management and security issues. In addition to network status, merchants have real-time insight into key operational measures, such as fuel inventory levels and environmental and food safety temperatures.

Based in Gassaway, W.Va., Go-Mart operates more than 100 c-stores in West Virginia, Virginia and Ohio.
