GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco has expanded its range of compliant payment solutions with the introduction of its fully certified FlexPay CRIND (card reader in dispenser). The freestanding FlexPay OPT (outdoor payment terminal) packages Gilbarco's PCI- and EMV-compliant FlexPay terminal as an Island Card Reader that can be positioned next to the pump and support single or multiple fuel dispensers.
"Gilbarco's FlexPay OPT is a great value for retailers who want to add PCI and EMV compliant payment to their fuel islands where there is currently no pay-at-the-pump or where it is not feasible [image-nocss] to add a compliant CRIND to each dispenser," said Scott McDowell, marketing manager for North American payment products at Gilbarco Veeder-Root.
The FlexPay product line has EuroPay MasterCard Visa (EMV) Level 1 and Level 2 certification, Interac Association Device Certification for outdoor payment solutions and Payment Card Industry Encrypting PIN Entry Device (PCI PED) approvals.
FlexPay OPT supports Gilbarco's Generic and Major Oil Company CRIND interfaces to simplify integration and POS system development. The small size (13-inch wide x 7-inch deep x 63-in high) makes it an easy addition to existing fuel islands. The 5.7-inch color screen enables clear and effective instruction and feedback to consumers, consistent with the familiar user interface from Gilbarco's FlexPay CRIND.
