Gilbarco Certifies PWM Electronic Price Signs

Enhances Passport 6's business information features

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco Inc. has certified a standard, direct interface from the Passport point-of-sale (POS) system to PWM Electronic Price Signs. The interface enables retailers to instantly change fuel prices on outdoor signage and at the fuel dispensers from Passport Version 6.

PWM Electronic Price Signs was founded in Germany and has North American offices in Houston. It is a global manufacturer, distributor and supplier of electronic sign technology for the convenience store, truckstop and petroleum marketing industries. Product [image-nocss] categories include signs that use segment, rollerblind and LED technologies.

The automated management of price signs helps retailers improve staff efficiency and safety by simplifying instantaneous changes from inside the store, said Kirsten Paust, Gilbarco Veeder-Root's vice president of global retail systems. Retailers also improve regulatory compliance with highly visible signage that presents consumers with continuously accurate prices.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root is a major supplier of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises worldwide.
