OKLAHOMA CITY -- FACTOR, a division of W.R. Hess Co., has appointed Dale Whetzel as vice president of professional services.

Whetzel will oversee FACTOR software implementation activities for new and existing customers along with the development and execution of all continuing education courses at FACTOR University.

"Dale's extensive industry experience and proven track record of successful implementations align perfectly with our company growth and customer retention objectives," said Jerry Hess, FACTOR president and CEO.

Prior to joining FACTOR, Whetzel held several key positions with TCI Solutions Inc. including senior project manager, senior product manager and director of strategic alliances. As senior project manager, Whetzel led two major product implementations at The Kroger Co., then the nation's largest grocery retailer. He also implemented the TCI Product Delivery Process responsible for defining and prioritizing product features and managing the development staff though product delivery. As director of strategic alliances, he succeeded in targeting, negotiating with and managing more than 30 strategic partners, which contributed to eight consecutive quarters of record revenue growth. Whetzel began his career as an assistant vice president at a 52-bank holding company.

Oklahoma City-based FACTOR also announced the appointment of Matthew D. Ziehme as vice president of development.

Ziehme has overall responsibility for the software and product development lifecycle as well as driving product solutions.

Matt has a keen ability to deliver quality, yet cost-effective, business solutions that dramatically improve operations, said Hess.

Prior to joining FACTOR, Ziehme served as director of delivery for CIBER Inc., an international system-integration consulting firm. While there, Ziehme developed and implemented numerous operational and delivery processes, methodologies and solutions, as well as defined customer core business needs and solutions.
