Comdata Appoints Two

Daly responsible for truckstops, travel centers, c-stores, fuel ops

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Payment company Comdata Corp. has named Joseph B. Daly senior vice president and general manager of merchant solutions. In this role, Daly is responsible for Comdata's merchant relations operations, including truckstops and travel centers, convenience stores and fuel based operations.

"Joe's proven leadership skills make him the ideal fit to run Comdata's merchant solutions division," said Brett Rodewald, president of Comdata. "Joe is a resourceful leader and change advocate whose managerial skills and financial expertise will ensure that Comdata's merchant solutions [image-nocss] division is poised for continued success in years to come."

Prior to Comdata, Daly was director of internal audit for Ceridian Corp., Comdata's parent company, where he was responsible for the execution of a risk-based operational, financial and information technology annual internal audit plan. Before joining Ceridian, Daly was the compliance director for CIGNA Government Services and was a vice president with Deutsche Bank NA. Daly began his career with Dreyfus Corp. as a senior auditor in 1988.

Also, Comdata recently named Kedran Whitten senior vice president of marketing and product management. In this role, Whitten is responsible for overseeing marketing, advertising, communications, emerging business development and product management.

Whitten joined Comdata in 2006. Prior to Comdata, Whitten was director of marketing for NIC Inc. where she developed and executed marketing strategies for complex Internet products. She also held various marketing and sales leadership roles at Alltel Communications, including director of corporate advertising.

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Comdata provides custom payment solutions for a variety of industries such as transportation, retail, government, aviation, construction, restaurants and hospitality. Electronic payment solutions range from credit and debit cards, fleet, fuel, payroll, purchasing and T&E. Comdata's platforms support both its proprietary and branded card networks.
