COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- PriceAdvantage announced the launch of a hosted fuel-price management solution that offers many of the key features of its PriceAdvantage Enterprise product, but in the cloud. Many define "cloud" as an Internet setup with most of the software and hardware not located at the retailer's store or headquarters, but in a third-party facility.
As a fully hosted cloud solution, the product has no software to install on site, which allows the retailer to be up and running in 48 hours. Officials said the only requirement is minimal training. With "PriceAdvantage Express," a retailer will no longer need to call every store to change prices. They access PriceAdvantage Express directly from an iPad or smartphone, gaining control over fuel pricing.
