Circle K Renews Exclusive Agreement With MoneyGram

Adds money transfer, bill payment services to suite of product offerings

DALLAS -- Convenience retailer Circle K has renewed its exclusive relationship with MoneyGram, a leading global money transfer company, and expanded its product offerings to include money transfer and bill payment services, in addition to the money order service previously provided to Circle K's 2,900 company-owned stores.

"We are very pleased to renew our long-term relationship with Circle K and look forward to deepening our relationship and reaching new customers with the addition of our money transfer and bill payment services," said Pete Ohser, MoneyGram senior vice president for U.S. and Canada. "The terms of this renewal are clear signs that the relationship with MoneyGram brings value to Circle K's business and customers."

Dallas-based MoneyGram enables consumers who are not fully served by traditional financial institutions to meet their financial needs. It offers bill payment services in the United States and Canada and money transfer services worldwide through a network of more than 310,000 agent locations, including retailers, international post offices and financial institutions.

Laval, Quebec-based Couche-Tard's network currently includes almost 6,200 c-stores throughout North America, including approximately 4,500 stores with fuel. It has agreements for the supply of motor fuel to more than 350 sites operated by independent operators. Its North-American network consists of 13 business units, including nine in the United States covering 40 states and the District of Columbia (under the Circle K banner) and four in Canada covering all 10 provinces (under the Couche-Tard and Mac's banners).
