Chevron, Albertsons Expand Reward Points Program in Louisiana

Customers receive 10-cent-per-gallon discount for shopping at grocery store

SAN RAMON, Calif., and BOISE, Idaho -- Chevron Products Co. and Albertsons Cos. LLC have further expanded their fuel rewards program to customers in southern Louisiana.

Under the fuel rewards program, for every 100 reward points earned by shopping at Louisiana Albertsons stores, customers receive a 10-cent-per-gallon gas reward up to 20 cents off per gallon to use at participating Chevron and Texaco gas stations.

Customers earn reward points every time they use their registered phone number while shopping at local Albertsons stores.

Customers can register for the program either at Albertsons.com or by downloading the “just for U” app on either Android or iOS devices.

More than 900 of Albertsons Cos.’ 2,300 stores offer the program to shoppers and more than 2,800 Chevron and Texaco locations currently participate in the program.

Chevron began working with Safeway in late 2012 in northern California. In June 2016, Albertsons and Chevron expanded the fuel rewards program to customers in parts of Florida, including the Clearwater, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale markets.

Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons is one of the largest grocery and drug retailers in the United States. It operates more than 2,200 stores across 33 states and the District of Columbia under 18 banners, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, ACME Markets, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Pavilions and Star Market and Carrs.
