Cenex Fishing for Customers

Driver Rewards program with Cabela's designed to reel in traffic

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- CHS Inc. recently launched Driver Rewards, an additional benefit for users of the Cenex Voyager Fleet Card, to help drive traffic into Cenex-branded retail locations. Under this new program, drivers earn reward points every time they purchase fuel with their Cenex Voyager Fleet Card, enabling them to attain gift cards for Cabela's, the outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.

Drivers earn Driver Reward points at any of the more than 230,000 locations where Cenex Voyager Fleet Cards are accepted; they earn double points when purchasing Cenex Roadmaster XL Premium Highway Diesel Fuel and other fuels at the more than 1,400 Cenex fueling locations in the United States. When drivers earn sufficient points, they are automatically emailed a $10 Cabela's e-gift card. As a special promotion, drivers who enroll by March 31, 2012, receive 500 bonus points.

"Cabela's gift cards earned through the new Driver Rewards program are provided in addition to the rebate (up to 4 cents per gallon) that CHS already provides to fleet accounts," said Doug Dorfman, vice president of CHS Refined Fuels Marketing. "At a time when some petroleum company loyalty programs are scaling back their rewards, we continue to expand ours to help the Cenex retail network attract new customers and build business. In its first two years, the exclusive loyalty partnership between Cabela's Inc. and the Cenex brand resulted in $152.8 million in new sales for Cenex marketers."

Dave Feddersen, national sales manager for Cabela's, said, "Cabela's is pleased to partner with the Cenex and Voyager brands to introduce this all-new benefit. Together, we're making it easy for our nation's hardworking drivers to earn fun, popular gear of their choice."

CHS is promoting the program through national fleet and Facebook advertising and other communications programs, including free merchandising kits for Cenex convenience stores.

Cabela's, Sidney, Neb., is a leading specialty retailer, and the world's largest direct marketer, of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise.

St. Paul, Minn.-based CHS is the nation's leading cooperative, owned by farmers, ranchers and co-ops across the United States.
