LAKE JACKSON, Texas -- Gulf Coast region convenience chain Buc-ee's Ltd. is using TalentRooster online video technology to interview potential employees. With thousands of video interviews online, TalentRooster allows employers and job seekers to connect with one another on its video interview website through searchable video interviews.
Buc-ee's said that it receives more than 16,000 applications per year. It requires an enormous amount of time to sift through applications, schedule interviews and finally identify those that will best represent the Buc-ees brand.
Buc-ee's decided to consider video interview technology, a tool that expedites the hiring process. Video empowers Buc-ee's leadership to see and hear applicants answer relevant questions, before committing to a live interview. The net result is faster hires and a significant savings of time and money, TalentRooster said.
Although Columbus, Ohio-based TalentRooster offers a web-based solution, Buc-ees decided to put kiosks in its stores enabling applicants to apply in person.
As the retailer's team grows more comfortable with this technology, it will add it to its online application, said Buc-ee's.
Lake Jackson, Texas-based Buc-ee's operates approximately 30 convenience stores in Texas.
